The sooner the better!

The earlier a child starts learning a foreign language the easier it will be for him. Young children have the ability to “learn” a language unconsciously by imitating what they hear. They learn experientially, just like in their mother tongue! This makes it easier for them to learn a foreign language through activities that they share with adults, whether it is playing, singing or reading a foreign language book. Children who learn a second language from a very young age develop their own learning mechanism which they later use in a third or fourth foreign language. This means that it is much easier for them to then learn as many foreign languages as they want unlike other older children or adults. These children are also more likely to have a better accent!
